Kura Master 2018

Since 2017 held in France, Kura Master is the Japanese Sake competition “for French people by French people”.

The steering committee of the sake competition has recently announced the result of Kura Master 2018.

The competition is a Japanese sake competition “for French people by French people” and has held in France since 2017. They create a place where French people can experience the adventure of a combination of Japanese sake and French gastronomy, and aim to development of Japanese sake on the French market.

The judges is composed of French sommeliers and professionals of the food industry, chefs, restaurateurs, professors from hotels or gastronomy schools. Their goal is not only to organize a competition, they also want to develop the sake market by organizing sake seminars, visiting sake breweries.

Study Sake @ Kobe University


Kobe University collaborate with Nadagogo Brewers Association to be going to start “Sakeology” course  which you can learn Japanese Sake academically from this autumn.

Niigata University started Sakeology course in this April. It is very popular and more applications that expected. Nadagogo Brewers Association suggested to establish “Sakeology” in Kobe University that the regional nature of Kobe is essential for sake making.

From this October, they plan to open 7 lectures at Kobe University, named “Introduction to sake brewery”. The lecturer are from executive officer of brewery companies and sake brewing container makers, and researchers of The National Research Institute of Brewing (NRIB).

In addition to the course will cover history and making method of sake, distribution method and overseas marketing to be able to capture sake in various ways. It is including tour of sake brewery.


 

The content of lecture would be interesting regardless of special field such as science and liberal arts. They also added the regionality of Kobe abundantly to make difference from Niigata University.

Nadagogo Brewers Association is hoping that the course would assist the development of human resources for specialist of Sake.

If you order “the all-you-can-drink for 2 hours 3780 yen” with ordering more than one food from the menu, you can bring in your own meals.

This type of all-you-can-drink sake bars sometimes does not have a lot of Daiginjo or Junmai Diginjo class sake selection, but Mirai Nihonshuten DAIKANYAMA prepare more than others.

Mirai Nihonshuten is going to open Kichijoji shop in June. It will be more sake, 200 kinds of sake, and use AI “Yummy Sake” which will recommend your favourite sake.

Mirai Nihonshuten Kichijoji will be cutting-technology sake bar.

Now they are founding for opening Kichijoji shop in crowdfunding platform “Makuake”. Launch party invitation ticket is sold 3,240yen (limited number 40ppl).
