Japanese Calligraphy × Sake workshop

It is a workshop that you can do Japanese Calligraphy with drinking sake.

Japanese calligraphy, SHODO is the art of expressing characters with a flourish, scribing a line that extends from the first touch of brush to paper, to the departure of the brush from the completed piece. Sometimes the stroke is heavy, sometimes it is light. At times, it sweeps an arc, at others it takes dramatic turns. And where the brush floats from the plane of the paper to fall again at another location, the unbroken line remains in the eye of the beholder.

Instractor Natsuko Kanno who is active in the domestic and overseas as a Japanese calligrapher. While drinking sake, enjoy the fun of running the brush as you want. Why do not you take a moment to touch your deep mind.

Natsuko Kanno – Calligrapher / Performer
Born in 1984. Tokyo Gakugei University art course calligraphy specialty graduation During the environment that a note was being told with my grandparents, too, I have a brush more than 5 years old. I pile up overseas experience during a university student and notice charm of a note once more, and aims at activity of a note. Part 1 and Part 2 are same event. No food at the event. Not allowed to bring own food to the venue.

Notes:

Under 20 years old can not enter the venue.

It will be very crowded. For prevention of accidents,it is not allowed to bring in travel bag.
Please wear your backpack on your front.
There is no cloak in the venue. Also, we can not store your luggage.
You can not bring food, snacks etc in the venue. Those who can not keep the rules are required to leave.
Please be sure to leave the venue promptly when event is ended.

Akasaka sake fes

100 kinds of selected Japanese sake(including umeshu and fruit liquor) from all over Japan.  All you can drink! Akasaka sake crawling event.

 

This event is Akasaka sake crawling event! In the event you can meet more than 100 kinds of alcoholic drink (Sake, Umeshu, Fruit liquor) that are difficult to find in Tokyo and from various parts of Japan. You will surely find your favorite one.

This time 10 participating breweries will come to meet you. You can enjoy taste of sake while listening to the concept of sake and the story behind the development of sake from the brewery directly.

In addition, at this event, you can taste food that is perfect for alcoholic drinks from restaurants in Akasaka area. You can drink your favorite sake and marriage of each restaurants’ taste. Food will be from ¥300 – ¥500.

The reception starts at 12 o’clock. Please receive handouts (tasting cup · participation card · map · leaflet etc) at the reception Akasaka Sakeba.

Then eat and drink at event participating restaurant freely. Food is cash bar.
